# Corridor Agent Steering

> Corridor Agent Steering guides AI coding agents using your project's security context before they write code.

Corridor Agent Steering guides AI coding agents with project-specific security guidance before they write code. When you use Claude Code, Cursor, or another supported agent, Corridor guides the agent using the relevant guardrails and context documents, and the agent writes safer code from the start.

## How it works

Corridor Agent Steering works through the `analyzePlan` tool. The Corridor extension makes this tool available to your AI coding agent through the [Corridor MCP](/features/corridor-mcp) server, and the agent calls it before generating code. The tool takes a description of what you plan to implement and returns relevant security context from your project's guardrails and context documents.

The AI coding agent uses this security context to write safer code from the start, following your team's specific guardrails.

**Parameters:**

| Parameter | Type | Required | Description |
| - | - | - | - |
| `plan` | string | Yes | Description of what you plan to implement or the user request you are working on, plus relevant code snippets from the files you are working with |
| `cwd` | string | No | Absolute path to the current working directory of the workspace |
| `branch` | string | No | Current git branch name |
| `commit_hash` | string | No | Current git commit hash |
| `has_unstaged_changes` | boolean | No | Whether there are uncommitted changes in the working directory |
